The dew drop

This pic was taken a month ago. The inverted building on the dew drop is the place where I stay - Sibly. It had snowed the previous night and that came as a cool surprise to me. Woke up at seven in the morning and drew the curtains expecting to see the usual greenery. But Mother Nature had a surprise in store. Everything was white. White, white and white. My window looked like the coolest hanging when darkness filled my room.

As usual I set out for my university. This time, I chose the second route to the Uni...the one we call "the path through the jungle". People say there are foxes in there. And they are right. There are. Once we spotted three foxes in the grove near Sibly.

The snow had cut down my walking speed by atleast one third. But I didn't actually bother. It was more fun to enjoy the snow than living by the tick of my watch. After all, it does n't snow everyday. There is a bridge running over a small lake inside the jungle. While, the lake had frozen, the snow seemed to provide a white coat to everything my eye could spot. Everything looked perfect.
As I moved towards my lab, I recollected how beautiful my home land looked. Felt proud to be from a place everybody would love to be - Kerala. By the time I swiped my access card, my mind had forgotten its appreciation for the world outside. It had turned all "business" yet again.
